Her patient-centred approach is truly holistic, recognising the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of healing.
Rather than looking at symptoms in isolation, Jodi considers your animal as a whole — their body, behaviour, environment, relationships and individual needs.
Supporting the whole animal
Healing and wellbeing can involve many interconnected aspects of an animal's life.
Physical
Looking at movement, tension, nutrition, comfort, physical health and the way the body is functioning as a whole.
Emotional
Considering stress, behaviour, relationships, changes in routine and the emotional experiences that may affect wellbeing.
Connection
Helping you deepen your understanding of your animal friend and become more aware of their individual needs and communication.
Working with the body's innate intelligence
The body has an extraordinary ability to respond when tension is released and the conditions for healing are supported.
Jodi works with the individual animal rather than applying a standard treatment to every patient.
The aim is to help free areas of tension, encourage balance and allow your animal friend to move towards greater comfort and wellbeing.
This approach may incorporate Jodi's background in veterinary medicine, naturopathy, nutrition, massage, osteopathy and animal communication.
Working with your local veterinarian
Holistic care does not mean working in isolation from conventional veterinary medicine.
If diagnostic tests, imaging, pathology or other veterinary investigations are required, Jodi can work with your local veterinarian as part of your animal friend's care.
What to expect
A consultation gives Jodi time to understand both your concerns and your animal friend's individual circumstances.
You are encouraged to share any relevant history, observations and previous veterinary information.
Listen
Discuss your concerns, your animal's history, lifestyle, behaviour and any changes you have noticed.
Observe
Consider the animal as a whole, including physical presentation, movement, comfort and emotional state.
Support
Identify practical ways to support wellbeing, relieve tension and better understand your animal friend's needs.
Collaborate
Where required, work alongside your regular veterinarian for further diagnostics or conventional veterinary care.
